
“Good morning” texts are lovely. “Good night” texts are sweet (and often lead to dreaming of him).
But those random texts you *weren’t* expecting; the ones that check in on your well-being or let you know your partner is thinking of you because something is happening to you that day (whether it’s starting a new job or a social anxiety provoking trip to the store); those are the ones that mean the most to me.
It means he’s paying attention to what I’m doing, to how it makes me feel. That he wants to lift me up and settle me down. That he wants to encourage me to be the best me I can be. It means that he sees me, even when we aren’t together.
And that’s one of the best feelings in the entire world.
